    Chris Heysel, Director Nuclear Operations and Facilities at McMaster University participates in IAEA Integrated Safety Assessment for Research Reactors (INSARR) as part of an expert team to assess the safety of the JM-1 reactor in Jamiaca. The five-member team comprised experts from Italy, Romania, the United States and Canada. The mission was successfully completed in 5 days and covered organizational and management issues as well as technical areas including the core conversion, safety assessment, operation and maintenance programmes, radiation protection, and emergency preparedness.
