Every summer the McMaster Nuclear Reactor hires undergraduate students to work as full time staff. Students enrolled in programs in the Medical Physics & Applied Radiation Sciences and Engineering departments have the opportunity to gain hands on work experience. Students will work as health physicists, reactor operators, iodine production assistants and various other roles around the reactor. McMaster is the only university in Canada at which undergraduate students have the exciting and invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a medium flux nuclear reactor as a part of their educational experience.
